it's always like this

4 notes &

de-stink the diapers day is a pain

it means that ALL the cloth diapers are in the wash for over 5 hours. yes, FIVE PLUS HOURS!

rinse & drain - 24min
soak in FunkRock - 71min
wash cold, no soap - 41min
wash hot/cold, with detergent + extra rinse - 58min
dry inserts on medium - 60min
add shells on just air - 60min

oh yah, plus another half hour restuffing all the dry diapers. fun.

it should also be noted that during this time my son is wearing the disposables* we have left over which means all of his pants are hanging off of him and he can barely walk! in cloth diapers we’re in 12-18mos pants but in the disposables it’s 6-9, which are all packed up in the attic already. it’ll be easier in the summer when it’s more appropriate to go pantsless.

thank goodness this is only a once a month process.

*when you rarely use them you realize how WEIRD disposables feel once the gel activates. it’s kinda creepy.

Filed under cloth diapers i love my baby the things we do for love still totally worth it
