Notes &
things i learned thanks to my birthday
- my baby is in awe of balloons and finally got his first one to play with (i was nice enough to let him have mine), i thought he’d be over the moon psyched but he was very serious and trying to figure out why it’s the opposite of everything else - when he lets go of it while he’s looking at it it goes up and doesn’t fall on his face. very interesting…
- he also thinks every stuffed animal that comes into this house is his to chew on. i let him continue to believe this.
- i really do have the best friend in the world!
- i don’t want a gift for the sake of getting a gift. honestly if you’re not going to put any thought into it and get me something because you think it’s something i will like/could use then save your money. i don’t need a gift card.
- my mother will pay exorbitant shipping fees to get my gifts here in time since she dropped the ball and forgot until the day before
- at least she didn’t forget my birthday entirely. one of the years i celebrated my 26th she didn’t remember until a few days later, that was fun.
- she’ll also call me on her cell phone in a hands-free state and get pulled over trying to wish me a happy birthday. at least i know what i’m getting her for Christmas.
- husband and i will continue to get each other gifts we think the other one wants (problem is we think it’s something they want because we kind of want it ourselves)
- i will eat fruit for breakfast the following days… so what if it’s all chocolate covered? it’s delicious!!
