our 6mos appointment went swimmingly yesterday
still getting all As and Gold Stars for where Roger is
i was a little bummed that his weight percentile slipped a teeny bit but we’re working on that - i actually thought he’d weigh much more than he did because he’s such a great eater. but we were told he can definitely get more solids - he currently gets about 2oz (plus oatmeal) 2x a day and at each meal he looks like he’d devour twice that when we’re done. so we got the go ahead to do solids 3x a day and let him eat as much as he wants - get ready little piggy!
we also got the green light to start meats and other stage 3 foods so the protein will help bulk him up. poor little thing - he’s got nothing but skinny genes.
and lastly he was a little off later in the day. it was all sad little sounds and he wanted nothing but to be held. i’d be lying if i didn’t say i LOVED that! as he’s gotten older he’s wanted more and more independence so for him to whine every time i put him down and take a 30 minute nap on me… well that was my own little heaven (minus the knowing that the poor little nugget didn’t feel great)
