for the first time ever i had to do a “cry it out” thing with Roger. he was long overdue for a nap and it was getting late and i didn’t want it to throw off our end of day routine.

it only went on for about 15 minutes and then he was out but when i went in to check on him after the screaming stopped (to make sure he was asleep and not suffocating) i heard the saddest little sleep sniffles

it took everything for me not to pick up that sleeping angel and just hold him and kiss his little head.

sleep sniffles are my new saddest sound ever.
