soo…. i’ve had a billion dollar idea that i’m constantly thinking about and pitching to my husband.
it revolves around the fact that all baby/kid stores suck. Toys R Us is the best there is? that’s sad. yet there are all these sporting goods stores that are mall of america sized and have every little thing you could possibly need. my biggest issue is that yes, you can find every thing possible for kids and babies on the internet but i can’t be alone in thinking that especially with these things you want to be able to see and touch and test. and there’s no where to do that.
for a stroller you can read a million reviews but don’t you wanna push it? and try to fold it? and see all the bells and whistles in action? and put your hand on the seat to see if your baby is gonna be comfy and cozy or sitting on a piece of cardboard that’ll make his butt go numb? but you can’t do this. sure you can go to Babies R Us and test the crap they have but heaven forbid an employee there has any knowledge of the product to answer your questions. and sure you can go to a fancy boutique store and touch and test and get all the answers about the fancy expensive strollers they have. but you can’t compare what they’re selling with the less expensive stuff, you have to use memory recall (and in preggos that’s not so great). but what if this was all in one place, and you could see every color option? and all the accessories? THIS is what i’m talking about!
so imagine my sadness to find out that someone has already come up with this wonderful idea and it’s grand opening on October 22nd!
boy how i wish i lived in Chicago! i hope these stores take off because i personally love the idea and want one near us!
