it's always like this

5 notes &

notes on a day in the life

so what you saw pretty much sums up my weekdays.

there are lots of little things that i left out though which goes without saying - like caring for the blind deaf diabetic dog, smothering the baby in tickles and kisses, his pterodactyl noises, slapping on some deodorant & makeup, and of all my snacking.

and of course we don’t go to Carytown every day. some days it’s beautiful out and we go to a park, or put a blanket out in the backyard, or go for a long walk, or hang at an outdoor mall, or just stay inside all day and play.

some days we have plans - Mom & Me Bootcamp or other group classes where we get to have fun and interact

baby play is partly with me and partly all alone. this is on purpose. they say it’s important for babies to have independent play time plus there’s not much i can do while he’s rolling around to be part of that so this is when i’m usually Tumbling and shopping Amazon.

some days husband gets home earlier and we go for a family walk, or we run some errands, or we go out to dinner.

also, while i’m 100% responsible for the kid when it’s just the 2 of us of course the husband helps immensely when he’s home. we trade off on alot of things. feedings, baths, book reading, running in to check on the cries from the crib.  it’s a great partnership and i realize how lucky i am to have such a wonderful man.

also, he’s not a fan of me taking photos after he changes into a ratty white trash undershirt but oh well, i didn’t pick it out.
